To participate as a CONSIGNOR:
- Register for a 4-digit CONSIGNOR LOG-IN NUMBER.
- Clean and prepare items using tags according to the information listed under the PREPARING and TAGGING ITEMS section of this site.
- Log in with your consignor number to order your BARCODES. You have two options for printing out your barcodes. Option #1-Allows you to print your OWN barcodes from home using Avery Labels on your own printer (use black ink ONLY). This allows you to print your barcodes any time and as many as needed for your items. If you choose this option, your registration fee is only $10.00 Option #2-Offers you the opportunity to have your barcodes printed by Everything for Educators and mailed to you via postal mail. If you choose this option, your registration fee is $15.00 and your barcodes will be mailed to you within 48 hours of placing your barcode order online. Please try to submit all barcodes at the same time so we mail just one packet. Additional mailings will incur additional postage fees from your profits. If you wish to pick up your barcodes that day (for Option #2), please contact Jill at (502) 939-1437 to make arrangements.
- Apply barcode labels to your tags. Place your tags on each item you are consigning. Sort all items according to the category in which they will be placed at the sale. *If you are a JCPS employee and you can bring your items in using PAPER REAM BOXES, and leave those boxes at the sale location after your items are placed on the sales floor, that would be appreciated, as we will recycle those boxes during our sale. Your help with this is greatly appreciated!*
- Sign up for a DROP OFF TIME. Drop off your items during your designated time slot. To make this process run smoothly, please have all items PRE-SORTED into the appropriate categories. (Please allow 20-30 minutes to check in all consignor items.) When you drop off items, sign in at the table and sign your Consignor Agreement. Also double check that we have your name, address, phone number and e-mail correct. This information is valuable for you to receive your consignor check. Once all items have been checked in, you will be asked to place your items on the tables according to the appropriate category. (There will be a little red wagon at the door to help consignors move in multiple loads. Use the wagon as needed and return it to the door area once finished for other consignor to use.)
- If you are able, please consider signing up to be a WORKER at the upcoming sale. Each worker who volunteers to work at least one 4-hour shift during the sale will be eligible to attend the Worker Pre-Sale. Workers are the real heart of this sale! You are the ones who help keep this sale looking great and making a positive impression on the shoppers, plus you get to shop before anyone else!! If you would like to learn more about this, look under the Sale Workers Needed section of the website, or contact Jill at (502) 939-1437 for more information. Remember, Pre-Sale priviledges are only for the individual who volunteers to work a 4 hour shift, guest will not be allowed at this event!
- Even if you are unable to work at our sale, please remember that all consignors are eligible to attend the Consignor Pre-Sale. Consignors shop early, but Workers still shop first! This priviledge is only for consignors, guest will not be allowed at this event!
- Tell your friends all about our sale and pass out Full Page Flyers or Half Page Flyers to as many schools, day-care facilities, teachers, homeschool families and friends as you can. You can also look on our website at the section entitled Tell Your Friends. There you will find a paragraph that you can cut and paste onto an e-mail to spread the word to all of your friends. Remember, the more you tell, the more you sell!
- Check out the Half-Price Sale on Saturday, when many items will be sold at half-price! This will be your last opportunity to purchase items while getting a real bargain.
- Plan to return after the sale is completed on Saturday, June 19th to pick up all unsold items that you selected on your tags with a red "R" to be returned if unsold after the sale. All items without a red "R" in the red circle on the tag will be donated to a local charity. Also, any items that are not picked up by 7pm on Saturday will be considered a donation, as our time frame to clean up the facility is very small. This year, all items donated items will be given to Life Bridge Ministries. All donations are gladly welcomed!
- Come by during our pick-up time to receive your consignor check. If you are opting to donate all unsold items, and will not be stopping by at pick-up time, please be sure to supply a self-addresses, stamped envelope during your drop-off time, so that your check can be mailed out to you within 7 days. Consignors receive 70% of the sale proceeds minus a $10.00 or $15.00 registration fee (depending on which option you choose).
