Everything for Educators is a semi-annual sale for educators in June and October that is open to the general public. We specialize in selling new and gently used teaching materials that would be helpful for educators, homeschool parents, day care workers, church ministry staff, student teachers and parents who are looking to supplement their child's education with affordable, yet quality educational materials.
Anyone is invited to consign materials and shop at our sale. Tell your friends, neighbors, co-workers, relatives and anyone who has children to come shop at our sale. Everything for Educators will be open to the public daily during the sale week. Almost all items will be sold at half price on Saturday, so make sure you come back and shop again.
If you wish to shop before the general public, consider signing up to work at least one 4-hour shift. Anyone who volunteers to work a 4-hour shift will be given a pass to attend our WORKER PRE-SALE that will take place Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 5pm-9pm. Consignors will be able to shop at the CONSIGNOR PRE-SALE that will take place one hour later on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 6pm-9pm. There will also be a NEW TEACHER PRE-SALE for those who are student teaching, methods students and those educators who have been in the profession for 0-5 years. This sale will take place Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 7pm-9pm.
The sale will be located at the Fern Creek Fire Department-Station #1 in the large gym. The fire department is located directly in front of Fern Creek High School, with parking in the rear. The gym entrance is located on the right side of the fire department from the rear parking lot. Look under Map & Directions for those people who are coming from out of town.
In order to keep your shopping experience as hassle-free as possible we ask that you try to follow these shopping guidelines:
- Get there early because the best items sell quickly!
- Come back to shop on Saturday, October 24th from 9am-1pm on half-price day for even more bargains.
- Bring a laundry basket or mesh shopping bag to carry your items while shopping.
- If you bring a stroller, we will give you a "stroller tag" at the door.
- Please arrange to have someone watch your children while you attend the sale. Our consignors have invested many hours preparing their items and we want them to be in the best possible condition for our shoppers.
- If you pick up and item and later decide not to purchase that particular item, we ask that you either take the item back to the original sales area, or place that item on the Restocking Tables. This will ensure that the items find their way back to the tables or racks were they belong for our shopper's convenience.
- If you wish to purchase a large item, see the attending volunteer in that area so that he/she can mark that item with your name. Your item will be placed in a "hold" area until you are ready to take the item to check-out. Items will be released after 1 hour if they have not been claimed.
- You may pick-up your large item purchases only by showing your receipt to the attending volunteer in that area.
- Remember to be patient in line, as there may be certain times of the day that are more crowded than others. Thanks in advance for your consideration to others!
We hope that these tips allow you to have the best possible experience while shopping. If you have any other questions and/or need to speak to someone you can Contact Us via e-mail, or call Jill at (502) 939-1437.
